MySQL errors when upgrading from 1.2.1 to 1.3

Hello,

I currently trying to upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.3. I have checked to make sure that my upgrade script as the necessary changes mentioned in  http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Upgrading_to_1.3.0#Installing_from_1.2.1_to_1.3.0

But when I am upgrading I am getting the following error:

ERROR 1406 (22001) at line 186: Data too long for column 'string_value' at row 4

Database upgraded to 1.3.0

I am not sure how to reduce the data in that column, so any help would be appreciated.

I noticed that string_value is of type TEXT, can I increase that to type MEDIUMTEXT without having any repercussions?

I changed string_value to longtext in the update script and I get the same error. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Ok I was trying to migrate from MySQL 4.1.16 to MySQL 5.0 and I was receiving the error that I mentioned before. I changed from MySQL 5.0 to MySQL 4.1.21 and that error disappeared and now I am receiving the following error:

ERROR 1062 (23000) at line 624: Duplicate entry '0-2-GROUP_EVERYONE' for key 2
Database upgraded to 1.3.0

The only good thing that has happened from changing the db is that the error is occuring at line 624. So is it necessary that I use the same initial db version for the upgrade.
