Multiple QS instances

Hello Alfrescians,
I have started working with QuickStart (QS) and reading through some of the guides I've stump-led upon.

I am attempting to deploy multiple instances of sites that leverage QS.  I am finding that using Share to deploy multiple different sites and than the QS dashlet is unsuccessful.  My old sites are simply being overwritten by any new WCMQS instances.

Are there any good step-by-step guides to assist me in creating multiple QS websites from the same Share instance?

Thank you for any help.

I have copied the wcmqs.WAR and renamed it.  This has been deployed - But how would I map this to the content like the wcmqs does automatically?

I think the question you might be thinking of is how to map a WMCQS instances to a specific web app folder?

If you have multiple instances of a WMCQS - you can use .WAR to add new webapps to your alfresco.

example

Step 1:
Copied the wcmqs.war and renamed it mySite.war.  Tomcat would automatically unpack the WAR and create the folder  mySite in your tomcat/webapps.  This will act as your site web folder.

Step 2:
Create a new site.  Add the quick start dashlet and import data. (This will create a web quickstart site automatically pointing to your tombat/webapps/wmcqs folder.

Step 3:
Navigate to you documents library/Alfresco Quick Start/  Both subfolders in here are of the type ws:website, you can edit their properties 'Web App Context" to the string "mySite".  This site will now use the web folder  tomcat/webapps/mySite.

This makes each of your quick start use a different web folder - unsure if this solves your issues?

Jeff probably has a better way of accomplishing this.

Those steps did work and did result in what I described.

I am hoping that I can have 1 WAR that manages multiple Sites based on some type of url context.

For instance have 3 sites all pointing to the wcmqs.WAR and based on the app context (wqmqs/site1), different repo data will be used.

Also hoping to load assets based on the app context.
For instance.
Site1 Document Dictionary will have an '/image' inside it's webroot - making all these images available through /url/images.

A solid CMS system would have this stuff built in (As it seems Share already does this).  I know that the QuickStart is a new extension to Alfresco - so looking forward to this type of functionality.

Anyone?
