hi all,

I have a question about multi languages.
When uploading pictures/movies… I need to fill in description and author and so on. I want to have several descriptions with different languages for the same item. I read about it but did not see how it can be done with the same item.

Can someone help?

I saw the mltext property and how to work with it using the API, But using the web client I can not see the difference to normal text.

The UI for ML documents should be part of the 2.1 release.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thank you kevin.

We will also want to use multi languages images and other contents
but I guess that we will need to develop it ourself, correct?

From what i've seen so far the Multi-lingual UI concepts mostly relate to document based content i.e. you add a "translation" for a language. In theory i don't see why that translation couldn't be an image! At the low level once you set your user preferences for your prefered language, the display of the correct translation to the user is transparent anyway.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi itayh,

If you download the last nightly builds from Alfresco, you will see the first beta implementation for multilingual documents.

About how to add descriptions in several languages of an image/movie, what you have to do is:

1) Transform your movie/image in a multilingual content (executing "make multilingual action")
2) To add a translation of the description in another language, you should run the action "add translation without content". It will let you enter the description or title of such image/movie in the language choose.

Title and Description are already working for Spaces for ML text. I'm not sure what the future plans are for spaces.

Thanks,

Kevin
