MS Office addins - Can't authenticate with Alfresco server

Hi,

Configuration

I've installed the word2003 addin, launched Office 2007 (compatible), then configured the addin like that :
Web client URL : http://alfresco2:8080/alfresco
CIFS connection : \\alfresco2\alfresco
Username/password : username/pwd of a user added in Alfresco and works well when I authenticate through Firefox.

Problem
When I Click on "Save Settings", the addin tries authenticate but fails with this message "Can't authenticate with Alfresco server"

What's happen ?

Make sure you've also set the webdav path (it's done automatically in V3.2). Also check your CIFS connection works on for that username and password.

- That's the strange thing : I cannot set the Webdav path.

- The CIFS connectionw works fine, when I put "\\alfresco2\alfresco" in Windows Explorer, I can go through my server shares.

Hi i am also facing the same problem.

I am using alfresco version 3.0

installed the following add-ins -( alfresco-labs-office2003-addins-3a.1032.zip ) and the installation was success.

When i clicked the alfresco button in microsoft word 2003 it opened a window

as the image shown in the above post. in addition i had a textbox for webDev URl.

When i click the save settings after filling the details it popping an error which read ( Can't authenticate with Alfresco server )

in my case CIFS and http://myserver:8080/alfresco is working. but when i tried to access wevdev using the below link

http://myserver:8080/alfresco/webdev it is showing errors ( HTTP Status 404 - /alfresco/webdev )

How to make it work. suggest me.

i have the same problem.

My Configuration:

Server:
Alfresco 3.2 Community Edition,
Authentication against LDAP/Active Directory, passthru for CIFS,

i can connect to Alfresco over WebDav and CIFS in Winodws Explorer.

Client:
Office 2003,
alfresco-community-office2003-addins-3.2

A few month ago, i installed alfresco-labs-word2003-addin-3a.1032 and could login succesfully.
The error message also appeard with this add-in, but when i clicked cancel, i could use i without problems.

Did you solve this problem? Or is this a bug?
