Move location of files

What is the correct way to change the dir.root location, if you already have documents in the system?

For example, by default we allowed the system to create documents in the alf_data directory on C: Drive. We have more room on D:, so want to move the documents there. I'm guessing it's not as simple as bringing down the server, copying the files from c: to d: and updating the dir.root location… but I could be wrong.

For anyone's interest. We did make a change in our test environment and it seems to work, without any issues…

It should be that simple (at the moment the index files can not be copied live)
