I successfully created money-tasks-1.0.0.jar and added it to the preferences as mentioned in the user guide…from here what i need to do to see a new palette in the eclipse….

that's a problem on your machine, not in code. Look at the message: Cannot run program "/bin/sh": java.io.IOException: error=12, Cannot allocate memory -> [Help 1] Are you running in a directory where you don't have access or do you have loads of zombie threads? It simply can't execute Maven at all.

Now the jar is created.
In Java -> User Libraries section is empty. only import and New button is enabled.

click on that new button and write "Activiti Designer Extension" and then import you jar….

As you said I am stuck in the version problem..i tried to install the latest activiti in eclips eby using Activiti - http://activiti.org/designer/update ….but this site still refers to 0.6.0 version…is this the latest ????…bec 0.6.0 is there since 1 month..!!!

I have added library as mentioned. But the libraryh is not reflected in the package explorer.
There is also red exclamation symbol in the project.

After adding the library in the prefrences->users and adding the acma jar…just open a new actviti project and add the jars required to run activiti…u will be be able to import the dependencies…
