Modifying Content Type of EML file

Hi,

I have a rule on a folder that changes any new files created/entered would apply a custom content type I created. This works when using alfresco share and it also works on the alfresco outlook client when I drag attachements into Share. I've tested for all MS office files, txt files and even .MSG files (saved on desktop). The custom content type is being applied.

When I'm in the outlook client, and I try to drag an email in, the EML file does not convert to the custom content type. Any reason why EML files are different?

ANy help would be appreciated.

Need more details about what *exactly* you are doing.    Versions, what, where, what change to the content type etc.

But outlook is an email client and EML files are email messages and are therefore immutable.
