Migration of community alfresco Server

We have community 3.3 (will be upgrading in July to Enterprise, but for now that's not possible).  We're changing ISPs and I'm trying to port the alfresco installation onto a new server.  So far I have not had any luck in moving alfresco successfully.  I have changed the server IPs and a new entry has been created in the alf_server table, but I cannot log in to the application.  Can someone point me to the steps to migrate from one server to another?

Additional information.  How can I remove the old server from the alf_server table (new server is in the table and points to correct "new" server address.  Then how can I rebuild the data to sync it up with the new server?

A full copy and pasting your alfresco dir + database used will be enough
Your change of other paramers you can specify in alfresco-global.propertied.

I did not understand what you ent my "alf_server table", can u please make it clear
Also post the error part of catalina.log using "<code>" tag

I'll get the logs as soon as possible.  I'm in the middle of re-copying the alf_data directory back to the new server as I removed it to try to perform a full index….

As for the directory structure for alfresco… it was copied and the database (mysql) was copied across as well.  The alf_server table is the table name from the database.  I had the alfresco server up and running, but I was not able to log in through the browser…

Ok,
I got this straightened out…  Looks like something in the alf_data directory was corrupted during the move.  I shut down alfresco on the currently running system.  tarred off the alf_data directory, dumped the db and moved the data onto the new server.  Now I'm up and running.
