Hi,
does anyone know how big is typically the DB metadata size for each stored document?
Thanks

Hello,
It is generally small : only a few rows in the alf_node_properties in the database.

A related question:
How big, in very general terms, is the Lucene index likely to be relative to the volume of the document base? Obviously this will depend enormously on what indexing is enabled and to some extent on the structure of the repository, but I'd be very interested to get some idea of the magnitude.
The reason: I'm planning an installation where it is likely that the main document storage will be on NAS or similar, but I'd really rather put the metadata DB and indices directly on the server machine itself.
