Max Duration of a Process Execution?

Is there a maximum duration of a process execution that Activiti can support?  Or could Activiti handle a process execution that lasted an arbitrary number of years?

There doesn't seem to be any such limit. You may create a simple test process and change the system time by a few years or centuries to test….

Process instances have no time limit. They could be dormant for years for all the engine cares.
