mail.from.default=MyName , will not send email test

I get email notification when I restart, if I keep in alfresco-global.properties

mail.from.default=dm@mydm.com‍

I get notification
But when I keep

mail.from.default=MyName‍

It does not send email test notification
Just an Observation I like to share

"MyName" is not an email address.   Its got to be <name>@<domain>  

Actually I'm over simplifying, but the point is that the domain is required.
