Lucene search are case sensitive !!

Hi,

I have a problem with my new installation of Alfresco 2.1 community edition.
I migrated recently from alfresco 1.3 in a windows environment to alfresco 2.1 in redhat, and ran a full reindexation of my documents.

Everything worked fine, I but it seems searches on the repository are now case sensitive …

I don't find anything about that in the forums, except that search shoudn't be case sensitive … How could I disable that ?

Hi

Please give examples of the search/query, how it was carried out, what locale was used for the search, the locale of the server and how the test data was created. Then we may be able to reproduce or explain your issue.

Hi,

when the locale is set to french and searching in UI for text 'PHASE' doesnot return docs containing text 'phase' and vice versa?
Alfresco version 2.1.1EE
Any way to solve this?

Hi

This depends on the analyser configured.
It looks like the default French analyser is case sensitive. I will check if there is a missing option.
You can change the configuration to use the French Snowball analyser.

you can change the class defining the indexers used by Lucene in WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/models/*dataTypeAnalyzer*.properties

The directory is actually WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/model/, but I guess everyone will find the analyzers with your help. Just wanted to fix that
