Hi,

I was looking into implementing the "Log me on automatically each visit" type functionality for Alfresco. Is this available out of the box? I've been searching around for this but unfortunately haven't found any posts relating to it.

Does anyone know if this is available or if not, has anyone implemented anything similar in their own solutions?

Thanks,
Ale

This is what people are talking about when they talk about Single Sign On or SSO for short.

The first thing to consider is what infrastructure you use to sign on and then you need to work out how to configure alfresco to accept  some sort of authentication token and trust your authentication provider.   Common bits of technology keywords are Kerberos, LDAP and NTLM.

You can make it with the authentication by ticket if you know the node you want to go.
For instance if you want to attain the node " Company Home " you can make it in that way:
http://<<IP>>:<<PORT>>/alfresco/n/workspace/spacesstore/(id company home)?ticket =(ticket)
To me this gives:
http://localhost:8585/alfresco/n/workspace/spacesstore/e9d598d5-7f5d-424f-8911-a67a0781a48e?ticket=T...

I hope this helps you
