In Alfresco 5 I have found that if a document is locked, even if I log in as the user who owns the document or as administrator, there seems to be no way to unlock the document. In Alfresco 4 there was a button called "finish editing" or something like that but in Alfresco 5 it just says "This document is locked by you." but there is no option to unlock it. Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Sean

I have the same problem too. Running in ubuntu 14.04, Alfresco Community 5.0.d and .bin installation.

I have the same problem. Previously you could go to /alfresco and unlock the document there. But now since UI is removed I don't see how can this be unlocked?
Does anybody has any suggestion?

Guys - this is probably something you have tried already - there is a "Cancel Editing" option under "Document Actions" if you login as the user who has the document locked. See attached screenshot. Let me know if this helps.
