Limits of Alfresco's Advance Component configuration

Hi folks,

If the title of the thread is not enough self-explanatory  , what I would like to know if I can override, overwrite, hide or customize every object of Share. For example, pages, presets, templates, FTLs, etc. At the same time, I also would like to know whether it is compatible with Alfresco 3.x versions (I understand it isn't as this feature is available only from 4.0, but I want to confirm).

By the way, this feature is described in the official documentation (http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/Surf_v4_components_Share.htm...).

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

You can configure or alter everything in Alfresco Share.

What's happening over time is that configuration is getting easier and becoming more encapsulated.

Yes, I was aware about that you can configure or customize everything in Share, but thanks to confirm. Your explanation has clarified my doubt.

There's something that I still don't understand about a way of customizing Share that the Alfresco documentation talks about (Customizing Share targeting existing files: http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/Surf_extensions_Share.html). Is it a reference to the way of customizing Share on 3.x versions, by overwriting resources placed in the proper path within the web-extension directory??

By the way, I have just realized that my post is in the Alfresco Explorer Development section rather than the Alfresco Share Development. How could I move it to the proper section? Can please any administrator do it? I'm sorry!

Regards.
