License isn't picked up

Hi guys,

I've recently migrated for a client from mysql to Oracle 11g (11.2.0.3). They are using Alfresco enterprise 4.1.3. After migration, I removed the existing license installed file and dropped in the original license file. Alfresco however doesn't pick up the license file. I tried either location <TOMCAT_HOME>/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/license and <WEBAPPS_HOME>/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/extension/license.

There's no error in the log but simply says Alfresco is in read only mode and asks to check the license. The LIC file remains intact and not getting converted into INSTALLED file.

JDBC jar is ojdbc6.jar

The license file was for Alfresco 4.1 with mysql. Do I need to get a new license for oracle?

Many thanks in advance.

No there is no restriction of the database within the license.

You shouldn't put it into the WEB-INF folder but it should have work in /shared/classes/alfresco/extension/license
