LDAP Limitations?

Does anyone know if there are hard limitations to Alfresco's 2's LDAP integration?  For example a maximum length for DN strings, a max number of dir levels, or a maximum # of users returned on look up? 

I ask because we have recently experienced this with another application and are looking to avoid the same problems with Alfresco.

I think some of the limitations you mentioned are rather matter of settings on LDAP-side than a problem of client application. This is definitely the case for the maximum users/objects returned for one query. If you experience this in other apps you will meet with in Alfresco as well, and there is nothing that can be done in Alfresco configuration. You must either change the limit on LDAP, or design the user query so that it does not exceed it.
