LDAP Integration

I know that there are many posts on here about LDAP integration (mostly dealing with Spring). Are there any plans to have a "pluggable" LDAP solution in general… or have some documentation on utilizing LDAP instead of the default database for user / group management?

I don't think 'pluggable ldap' will be provided since there is pluggable usermanagement. But if someone cares to contribute (and maintain and document) their ldap user mananagement module for Activiti, I do think the team is interested in having it in a 'contrib' section somewhere.

User Management? I have scoured the docs and could not find anything on this. If it's possible to override the UserQuery and the GroupQuery, that would work, too - I just cannot find any documentation on it.

Yes, a UserManager and GroupManager e.g. http://forums.activiti.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1598

But since it is still not 'stable' things might change as can be seen in the post mentioned here between 5.4 and 5.5 and therefore there is not much documentation on it besides the forum and the source
