JAVA heap space error while installing alfresco on ubunto

Hi all,
         While installing Alfresco2.1(community version) on ubuntu 8.04 it gives run time error like Java Heap space error.
I am not getting why this error occur? Anybody is experiencing same  problem?

Can you post the actual exception you're seeing, ideally pasted from the alfresco.log?

I'm sure if you do a search there's a post containing the answer to this somewhere on the forum - I has a similar issue on Ubuntu and found a fix on the forums - I had to change JVM arguments.

I don't have access to the environment from where I am but in the next day or so I'll dig up the exact settings. I also had issues with PermGen space issues and there's an argument to address that as well.
