Hello,
I hope any one can help with this.
I have upgraded from 4.0.c to 4.2.c (mysql database) but what used to work with chained authentication Ntlm
assthru:LDAP doesn't work anymore. In particular users managed directly in alfresco database cannot login anymore, including admin user. LDAP users can log in fine. I have tried an upgrade via 4.0.e and everything works fine and the same issue arises when upgrading from 4.0.e to 4.2.c.
Has anything changed in the chained authentication in 4.2?
Many thanks in advance.

Actually I found the problem and the solution to this upgrade issue.
When upgrading the files for the alfrescoNtlm1 (in shared/classes/alfresco/extension/subsystems/Authentication/alfrescoNtlm) files cannot be copied from the previous version. The new xml files in particular have to be copied from the WEB-INF directory structure. Doing so solved the problem with a MySQL upgrade from 4.0.c => 4.0.d => 4.2.b.
I hope this can help other users with their upgrade.
