Is there a concern with incomplete files?

We would like to create smart spaces that act on files when they arrive via ftp or the file system. These files can be quite large and may take some time to be fully 'written'. Is there any issue with the defined rules trying to act on a file before it is complete?

The rules will only fire once the file is fully uploaded.
