is the Alftresco is good for me? My small needs and big prob

Hello,

I am observing Alfresco project from a time, it is very interesting project. I would like to ask you is this big solution can be good for my ( consumer ) needs.

I have a lot of invoices and I need to extract a few data of each of them. I would like to get an table/text file/database or any other common file with interesting data.

I am private person and I am planning to use this three, maybe four times I would like to put pdf or any other files into any tool and grab information interesting for me. After customizing of course

I have found Alfresco Cloud solution but I would like to know, is it possible to run text extraction tool now ?


Maybe there are any other Linux 'live; distro with test version of all system? I have very small needs, I need to extract only document number, date.

Ya this is possible using document capture software like  Ephesoft     "http://www.ephesoft.com/"  or Kofax along with your DM, in this case Alfresco
This is possible, it is more of Document Capture feature than document management

I was using Kofax 7.5 and certified in the same,recently I have not used Kofax, but it was a good product for OCR, what I did not like it was that that was the only Windows machine in my environment

Is it any Cloud service as application as a service? I would like to uploads my scans and get results.

I have trided Ephesoft but this is difficult to set with different to set e.g. invoice numbering
