Is Desktop Sync still developed ?

I wonder if Desktop Sync is still developed because it's not usable (if the reference model is dropbox) and there isn't new version or posts in the forum.

It's still in development.  It's likely to be the first thing delivered next year.

I reviewed the app and thats one of the reasons why its being reworked.   But what is your feedback?  What could make it better.

In my experience:
1) every day, when it starts, it downloads a lot of files even if they are not changed
2) If I delete a file often find the same file uploaded by another user
3) the same thing happens with folder: I changed the name of a folder from "activity" to "01-activity", and then I found both folders: "activity" e "01-activity".
4) it would be nice to limit the bandwidth

Do you have an update on the Desktop Sync app rework?

We moved the company to Alfresco in the Cloud and getting a lot of noise from our users about lack on desktop sync functionality. Would love to be able to provide an update.

Desktop Sync is still being developed but has hit some problems and has slipped its initial release while its being reworked again.    IMHO the decision to delay for something that works well rather than hitting the release date is the correct one.

While waiting for Alfresco Desktop Sync to be released, you might want to use the similar CmisSync. It is reliable, and gets new features added all the time:
