Hello everyone,
I want to add some functions like "tif to pdf", "jpg to doc" etc. I downloaded intelliant ocr and it converts tif to pdf in in cmd. Now I want to have it in alfresco.
I copied ocr-transformers-context and web-client-config-custom.xml from http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Tiger_OCR_integration to my extension folder. What should I do now with these two files to to have my rule "tif to pdf" working?

What I get after adding my content is: "Failed to create content due to error: 03030054 Transformer for 'image/tiff' source mime type and 'application/pdf' target mime type was not found. Operation can't be performed".

Help me, please.

Based on the error message you are getting, it appears that Alfresco is unable to find the ocr.exe application when it tries to call it to perform the transformation. I would suggest adding the location where you have the ocr.exe application to the system path (be sure to restart Alfresco using a new command window that has the new path), and see if that helps. If you are still having trouble, please provide your Alfresco version in a future post, since some of the Spring configuration files may need to be modified depending on your version.

Hi,

We have implemented an OCR server integrated with Alfresco, which can be used as transformer or via Javascript and Java. It runs on  a separate OCR server and supports Abbyy and Google OCR. for more informaiton see here - https://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=44739
