Instant Messaging

Dear all,

I am completely new to Alfresco…
I would like to ask you if there is available functionality for instant messaging.
If not, is it possible to integrate another open source tool for instant messaging (i.e. Jabber,etc)

Currently there's no direct support for IM, but an integration with open source IM tools is certainly feasible.

Alfresco's roadmap is soliciting contributions for this:

Do you have specific requirements for an integration?
