Installation Problem for 2 Byte Folder Names

Hello,
I have encountered an error regarding the installation file.

[Configuration]
::Machine & OS
Windows XP Professional SP2 Japanese Version
Pentium 3GHz, 1GB Mem

:Smiley Frustratedoftware
Alfresco Version 1.2 Community Network

::Region
Japan

[Error Description]
unable to execute the installation file.
Gives the message "Error in Installation".

[Cause of the Problem]
The problem was caused by the use of 2 byte characters in the folder name where the installation executable file was located.
It seemed that the installer file could not locate itself due to the 2byte characters.

[Solution]
It can be easily solved by creating a folder ("directory" if you prefer) without any 2 byte characters. [eg. C:\Alfresco]
move all the files into the newly created folder, run the installer.

[Suggestion]
Since there are many potential users in the 2 bytes character code region,
I would like to suggest Alfresco community that future version of Alfresco
installers support 2 byte folder names, and if possible, multi-language support for the installer.

Best Regards,

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know about this, we'll do some tweaking to the installer to try to get this working.
