installation on shared host server

is it possible to install Alfresco on a shared host server (webserver)?
If yes, is there any tutorial or how to?

Thanks for the reply.
The provider of the host server is using Linux.
As I do not have root access on the server, I don't see on the posted links how to install Alfresco on the shared host.
Any ideas ?

Make sure the hosting provider supports Tomcat (and not just Apache Web Server). You'll need to download the Alfresco war file and manually install it I expect.

Does the provider not have a FAQ for installing Java applications? That usually removes a lot of the guess work.
