Hi, sorry for this very newbie question. I have finished installation on debian. First I tried on WinXP, and errors with MySQL appeared always. So, I downloaded the community install version for linux, and started it from console. It seems it finished ok. And now? How can I start the first interface? I tried localhost:6060, 8080, share, alfresco, … How can I know if the web service is working? Perhaps a firewall? I have previously installed debian, with no other action (nothing more than the standard installation), do I need anything else? Thank you…

Sorry that this went so long without a reply. Once you install and start Alfresco, you should see it running when you do a ps -ef|grep tomcat.

You can also tail the log which lives in /opt/alfresco/tomcat/logs/catalina.out.

If everything appears to be normal you should be able to navigate to the Explorer client by going to http://localhost:8080/alfresco. If and only if that works you should be able to navigate to the Share client by going to http://localhost:8080/share.
