Just wanted to get peoples opinion on what they would recommend on best practices on running Alfresco on Linux servers.

For example:

3x CentOS 6.5 Servers=

1 Database Server Running PostgreSQL
1 File Server (not sure, do you use Samba here?)
1 Apache Server, Tomcat Server

What do you guys who have done scalable set ups think of this?

CentOS 64 Bit OS
use any of MySQL or Postgresql
Avoid installing Alfresco using root
If ur DM is available on net disable root ssh access
Give localaccess only to the DB user
backup scripts defined in crontab
—–
Since Alfresco has CIFS , no need for your OS file sharing( SAMBA)
The application server(tomcat) is there by default installation

Thank you for the reply bisana.

So you're recommending a 2 server setup?

1 Database and 1 Application. No raw file storage server.
