Hi Paokrab,
The same problem also occured with me  but i resolved.
As there are some windows files in linux this problem occurs.
Pls type a command  before the installation process is 50%
dos2unix /opt/alfresco/java/jre/lib/rt.jar
i think this command will definitely solve your problem.
Let me know the result
With Thanks,
Abhashree

Hi,

I'm having this same problem trying to install the 3.4.b version in a CentOS 5.5. I've tried the solution abhashree is proposing but it didn't work. I even tried the sentence
dos2unix /mnt/alfresco-3.4.b/java/jre/lib/*
just in case there would be any other windows/unix file problem but without success.

I don't have a graphic environment so I cannot check which file is having problems being copied.

The funny thing (not exactly funny at this moment Smiley Wink ) is that I've installed this same bin in other two computers with this same OS without any problem…

Any other idea?

Thanks!

Hi again

I kept working on this problem and tried to install the previous version 3.4.a.
I then discovered that my problem was caused by not having enough space (this installer told me the exact error, not just a "There has been an error.
Error copying file"). My problem was that all space was given to a particular folder and not enough space was left for /opt/.

Could it be your case, paokrab?

Hi cfvillar,

I have available space on /opt file system about 3GB and error on /opt/alfresco/java/jre/lib/rt.jar file but when i increase /opt file system 1GB error is occur on same file ( /opt/alfresco/java/jre/lib/rt.jar )

Best regards,
Pao
