Install freeze Mac OS X 10.8

I've been trying to install Alfresco 4.2.c on a Mac Mini server (10.8.3) and keep running into the issue that the installer just freezes halfway through the install.
Every time it's at a different position and I tried with several different settings, both as an admin user and as root.
I can't see anything of interest in the system logs either…

I've not had any issues installing it with other versions of Alfresco or OS X so not sure what's going on.

Has anybody else seen this issue as well?

I ran into this around Dec 2012 whilst installing 4.2c on a mac mini running OS X 10.8.2. I know this sounds odd but I found the installer ran all the way through if I put a full screen program (e.g. Finder) to cover the install windows. I checked progress by switching apps and then switching back to finder until the installer completed successfully.  I re-installed several times setting it up and this worked every time, I've no idea if it will work for you…..
