Hi,
can anybody write brief and clear instructions about installation Alfresco 3.4.d version on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with tomcat and MySQL already installed. I'm new in Alfresco and after reading Alfresco documentation about installation on Linux which is pretty unclear for me, desperate looking any help.
Thanks

There is a very clear tutorial showing how to install Alfresco on Ubuntu in howtoforge (dot) com. I followed it to do my install and everything worked great.

how to install Alfresco on Ubuntu in howtoforge (dot) comUnfortunately this How To is based on the V3.3 Tomcat release that is no longer provided in this format (no more bundled Tomcat) with later releases.
There is a case for a new (& extended) How To for the Community WAR release (watch this space once I get the bugs out of my install notes).
There's things that need better documentation like handling AMP files where the provided AMP package includes both AMP and AMP-SHARE versions.
Oh and then there's the move to Postgresql…
Cheers, Sasquatch

Instructions can be found here:

Based on Postgresql, but Mysql should not be much different.
