'In folder' and 'created by' option in advanced search

How do I put a "In Folder" option in the advanced search page of my custom content model…this should allow user to search for documents in the specified folder?

How do I put a "Created By" option in the advanced search page of my custom content model…this should allow user to search for documents created by a specific user?…Preferably a drop down box with a list of users..!!

You have to be a little bit more specific than that to get some helpful response. Ie, did you extend the advanced search page components and now you want to add another field to search by on the page or is it only on certain pages, drop down loaded by ajax or on the server or something? Let us know how far have you got and where you got stuck. That way somebody might give you a helpful reply.

Hey Zladuric,
I have created a custom content model and subsequently configured the Advanced Search Page to show my custom type in the "Look For" Menu…
Now all the properties associated with my type show up on the advanced search and works perfectly…Now I want to add two other fields in the advanced search form that will allow the user to select a folder from alfresco (within which the search operation will be performed) and the owner of the file.

I'm not sure exactly what your level of knowledge is in terms of customizing Share or working with the forms runtime, but the place to start looking would probably be in the WebScript that builds the advanced search page (/Slingshot/config/alfresco/site-webscripts/org/alfresco/components/search/advsearch.get.js in the source tree).
