Import document from database

Hi!
I'm new to the alfresco world and I'm wondering if it is possible to import (upload) document from an existing database.
The database contains scanned images and their metadatas.
Any ideas on how to achieve that goal.
If anyone had already something similar, it would be great if he can share his experience with us here.

Talend Open Studio is a program that will allow you to import documents from a database. Check the website as well as the community.
