IMAP and TransactionalCache full error

I recent upgraded from 3.0 to 3.2R on a winxp/mysql system and am trying to use the IMAP folder access with Outlook 2007.

In Outlook the only folders that shows for the Alfresco IMAP server is the Inbox. Refreshing folders doesn't show any others as in the wiki. I have created one site in Share and marked it as an IMAP favourite.

It seems that any attempt to refesh generates the following in the log.

16:46:07,484 WARN  [org.alfresco.repo.cache.TransactionalCache.org.alfresco.storeAndNodeIdTransactionalCache] Transactional update cache 'org.alfresco.storeAndNodeIdTransactionalCache' is full (10000).

Before I get too involved in trying to fix this, I was a little confused by the demo in the 3.2 intro webinar. We generally don't use Share, but rather access user spaces via a mapped CIFS drive in winxp. The webinar seemed to deal exclusively with saving emails in collaboration sites. We just want to save emails in the same way we save all other business documents, ie in folders by client and year.

I did save one email into the IMAP Inbox folder and successfully found it in alfresco explorer in the IMAP Home space. Double-clicking on the .eml file from within firefox and other browers just caused an unending succession of tabs to open. I am guessing that to view the email contents in a browser, I need to find it in Share, not Explorer. is this correct?

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Did you by any chance resolved this problem with 'transactional update cache is full' ?

I am using version 3.2r2 and getting this warning when copying or accessing space with many files in it ( 20.000 )

Is there some way to congifure this cache to avoid these warnings ?

Best Regards,

Zoran

Has anyone found any more information on this?

I'm experiencing the same issue with a client's system.  I'm unable to browse the repository via IMAP in their prod environment (RHEL/MySQL/Alfresco 3.2r).  It authenticates fine, and running netstat -nap|grep java|grep 143 shows that the IMAP service is running and the email client is connecting to it.  But for whatever reason, Alfresco isn't listing the sites/folders.  The exact same config worked fine in a test environment (only difference was the OS - MacOS rather than Linux).

The only clue I can find is the presence of this warning in the log files, but I'm not sure if it's related: Transactional update cache 'org.alfresco.storeAndNodeIdTransactionalCache' is full (10000)

I have the same problem. 3.3 comm.  I have been updating  Alfresco via Web Services CML. Porting a lot of old files, but nothing has "gone wrong" no errors or anything. It's just this new one is going to production in a few weeks, and it my you-know-what on the line, so warnings scare me  Smiley Surprised

I got this error message to go away by upping the storeAndNodeIdTransactionalCache in cache-context.xml. I upped it to 50000, but I read that if you go too high it will put a performance hit on the system.

Today I'm getting Transactional update cache 'org.alfresco.cache.contentDataTransactionalCache' is full (10000) and there is weird stuff going on in our system, so I'm going to try upping the contentDataTransactionalCache' this time.
