Hi,
i configured Alfresco as Inbound and IMAP Server successfully.
Move manually an Email from my Default Inbox into a Folder include the IMAP Structure, the Mail is stored in .eml format - ok.
If i forward the Mail by Using the Inbound Server, the Mail is stored as .txt and. html format. - not ok.
Can i combine this both functionality?
thanks,
André

Hi,
it would be nice, if this content has the same format as in imap folder.
In IMAP-Structure the format is .eml, so i can open it in email client, reply, forward and so on. But only if i move it per drag and drop within my email client.
Do i send the mail (forward) via SMTP (the Inbound Server) server this is only textfile. My email client shows only an template with some metadata.
do you understand my problem?

Someone would need to change the SMTP import code to be able to specify an option to persist the SMTP Message in Alfresco as an EML file. Please raise this as an enhancement request.
Even better would be for someone to contribute the code.

Hi,
You could also give OpsMailmanager a try, it has the same format for inbound emails (SMTP) and emails dragged and dropped via IMAP. So an inbound (SMTP) email stored in a particular folder can be viewed from Outlook via IMAP.
OpsMailmanager is an enterprise email management solution for Alfresco.
