Image Gallery

Hi
  I want users to store images in Alfresco (4.0) and use Liferay 6.1's Image Gallery feature. Is CMIS the only option to do it. If CMIS, then users have to choose the repository while uploading from Liferay which will make users uncomfortable and realize that there are 2 different repositories.
Please let me know if there are any other options for the same.

However, this was the old method. The current preferred method is to use CMIS.
