hi all.
i want to create a pdf from html by business rule (oo server) and also show preview of the html in the content preview window (flash) in SHARE. The goal is to generate htmls by alfresco service with embedded image(s) and metadata (create something like product brochure). Solution works, but images embedded in html showing "empty" - standard image square - "signalize" "image not availabile" (typical problem if image not available by http server).
So there are two problems: image not rendered in preview mode and also not available in generated pdf (by oo server)
This happens only in the cases if image linked from the same alfresco repository. If image is a remote - any html location - other then alfresco server then it works.
What is interesting:
If i create a href link to the image for example: http://domain.com/share/proxy/alfresco/api/node/content/workspace/SpacesStore/4f556ed7-642c-4d84-827... - then alfresco change this absolute link to relative.
so my problem is to get image to a html from the same alfresco repository.
any recommendation ?

thank for your quick answer. I'm little disappointed, because i have working on a solution and tough this is a setup issue. Attached issue related to html vs. embedded image. What do you think if i don't want to preview this html (with an embedded image), but only use as document which help to build my product sheet and with a business rule i will generate a PDF trough openoffice server then remove html (so the html will be used as temp content) .
At this moment this alternate solution has similar behavior as in the case of the html preview, but i believe it is only a setup issue for openoffice server. So the question is: can i render html with an embedded image (from repository or external source) trough openoffice server and get a PDF ?
What is your/yours advice ?
norbert.

Hi Nobert, I have the same issue. I can see images inserted in HTML from remote sites when converted to pdf, but cannot view alfresco repository images. Did you find a solution for the problem? Is there any alternative? I need a PDF document as the end product for my application. I would really appreciate your help on this. Thanks!
