Iintregrate Alfresco search .read of contents with portals

Hi ,

How could I integrate alfresco search and read of contents with another portals.
So that alfresco repository could be searched ,explored and read from other portals without users having to login to alfresco explorer.

You would call one of the remote api's from your portal using appropriate authentication details, either some sort of proxy authentication or SSO.
