I need information on the framework to study and use

Hi all,

I am new to the Alfresco platform and i need to understand the platform better before i can carry out the project in my hands

The project is to build on an Alfresco to can create forms in jsp pages from an Alfresco form creator framework i dont know yet from another application running on another tomcat server and interact with an installed Alfresco community edition that would serve as repository for documents i upload from the jsp.

I want to know how feasible this project is with Alfresco 
which framework i need to study.

Anyone that has response to this should please provide me with information

The framework for your app is yours to choose and study.

You can interact with the alfresco repo with CMIS, CIFS, FTP, WebScripts, RMI, JCR.   That's six options to get you started there are more.

Thanks for this info, After a glance through on the Chapter 9 - ( the Integrating External Applications with Alfresco ) of the ebook_Alfresco_3_content_management book, i looked at the architecture for communicating with Alfresco from an external application and i think i want to go with using Custom JSP (JAVA).

I think that would imply i create jsp pages on an external application using some alfresco jar for communication with the Alfresco repository.

I suppose am right thinking in this direction.

I think i am getting my way round it.

Am using the Alfreso webscripts to interact with the Alfresco repository, i also use the free marker templates to present pages.

Hope this webscript framework would be suitable for me
