I have installed Alfresco 1.4 preview on the windows xp sp2, i added a text file which included some chinese and english characters.
When i viewed or modified this text file i foud three bugs:
1. When i clicked the link of the text file the english characters could show correctly but the chinese characters could not show correctly. When i changed the encode of IE from UTF-8 to GB2312 the chinese characters could show correctly.

2. When i modified this text file the chinese characters could not show correctly in the editor.
("һݲݡ First test content.")

3. When i used the tool to see the index, i found that the chinese characters could not index correctly.

I think these are bugs.

Hi

Can you tell us which bundle you installed from - was it the .exe installer or one of the other bundles?

If you are familiar with MySQL, could you check whether MySQL is configured to create UTF8 data?

Thanks
Paul.

I used the .exe installer to install Alfresco 1.4 preview.

I used the "status" command and found the "Server Characterset" was UTF8 and the "Db characterset" was UTF8 too.

I found that when i created content (plain text) all were ok, these problem only happened when i added content.

Please the see these issues : AWC-930 AWC-931 AWC-932 .

Thank you.
