Hello,

Does anyone know of a good guide to setup alfresco to use HTTPS which i assume requires an SSL cert.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thank you .

Hi Nabil

To setup TomCat to use HTTPS in Alfresco - see the file tomcat/conf/server.xml - look for the section
<!– Define a SSL HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8443 –>
and enable it. Then you can access TomCat on port 8443 (or whatever you configure) to use Alfresco in HTTPS mode.

You can change the permissions on any folder space using the web-client Manage Space Users action for a space. On a user Home Space simply remove the EVERYONE user from those invited to the space - then only the owner user and admin can access it.

You will need to generate a SSL Key Certificate to use for your connections, check this guide to see if fits what you need

Hi,
Thank you for replying but it didn't work.

It is worth mentioning that i am using AWS(amazon web services).
perhaps the process is a bit different in this case.

First 2 steps should be enough: http://techtracer.com/2007/09/12/setting-up-ssl-on-tomcat-in-3-easy-steps/

Of course, open port 8443 on AWS too…
