When i look at the installing on windowes pages, its clear how to install the product on windows..

I follow the install on linux http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_on_Linux, and its talking about installing open office..

Am i missing somthing?? !

also, can somone point me at the correct install process for Linux?

You'll need OpenOffice for automatic PDF conversion in Alfresco but you could skip this if you don't need it.

Thanks, and I understand that part..  although didn't know you could install without it. so thanks

what my issue is, is that from the

http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Server_Installation

install page, you can press the windows link, and have all the next stages you could need.

from the linux link, all you get, is the open office install, and it doesn't go on to , or link to, etc, the rest of the instructions.

is there somwhere else with all the linux install instructions?

When you uncompress the installation file it contains a readme file with installation instructions.
