How to use parallel gateway for creating dynamic tasks

Hi,
I'm new to Activiti while going through parallel gateway concepts I wonder is it possible to make processes post parallel gateway dynamic, ie based on parameters there can be 2 parallel service tasks / 3 parallel service tasks.If possible please let me know
