How to upgrade from Community Release 2.1 to 2.9 labs?

Hello,
are there upgrade instructions anywhere for how to upgrade an Alfresco 2.1 installation to 2.9?
(my 2.1 installation is not a production system, I am still just evaluating it - and would like to try out the bug fixes and new stuff in 2.9)

I downloaded an "AlfrescoUpgradeCommunity-2.9.0dev-Setup.exe" from sourceforge but there's not even a ReadMe - I went through a few steps of the installer and it seemed to be telling me it wanted to overwrite everything in my existing C:\Alfresco directory ?

Basically, my 2.1 installation contains a dozen or so modified XML config files and I'm wondering if these would get overwritten by the upgrade?

Hi,
You can download the WAR package, and replace the existing alfresco.war with the new one.
Make sure you clean out any temp or working dirs from your app server becuase it will still have the old alfresco stuff cached.
Restart your app server.

I am assuming that you used the extension dir for your mods and didn't place them into the war file…
If you did, you'll need to reapply them - or put them in the extension dir.
