How to update content type correctly?

Hello, I have some custom content type and few nodes of this type. How can I delete some properties from this type correctly?

If you just want to remove it from you UI you can do it by removing those custom properties from share-config-custom.xml and web-client-config-custom.xml.

If you want to remove it from nodes as well I think you need to remove it from model and do full re indexing but that is not advisable you are likely to run into inconstancy issue.
