How to send email when content moves to Staging?

I am new to Alfresco. I wanted to know how can I send an email notification when the content moves to the Staging area? this would apply to any content on that particular website.

One way to do this would be to create a custom workflow definition that executes an email task just prior to submission to staging.  More details are at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/WorkflowAdministration.
