How to remove 'alfresco' folder from URL

When I install Alfresco, the URL to visit the site always contains the folder name "alfresco" after the domain/subdomain name.

Example: https://alfresco.example.com/alfresco/faces/jsp/login.jsp

What can I do so that I just see a URL like this: https://alfresco.example.com/faces/jsp/login.jsp

You can do it with Apache reverse proxy (see mod_proxy_ajp in Apache, and enable the AJP/1.3 connector in server.xml tomcat file).
