How to online edit the MS doc files

I can not see the edit online option for MS doc files. While for txt its their.
How can I get Edit online option for MS doc file?

The way to edit office files "online" is via either WebDAV, CIFS or the sharepoint protocol.

You have install and activate sharepoint protocol:
InstallConfigure_CommunityEdition32.pdf page 28

in document library , only use edit offline from the menu, maybe you need to click on plus symbol.
I hoe this can help..
