We use mongoDB and gson instead of spring di-container, hibernate…
It's simple, small and fast.
It's there anyway to make activiti support mongodb?
how to remove spring, or only use core engine of activiti?

Interesting view point. NoSQL brings a whole new architecture and transactional paradigm.
So it's not on our roadmap to implement MongoDB support.
But it's certainly possible to use Activiti without a Spring config.
Best regards,
